Just found out I've been clipping my helmet chin strap wrong for 3 years
I always thought the little plastic buckle thing went under my jaw, but last Tuesday a guy at a red light yelled over that it should sit higher, near my ear. Turns out I had it dangling loose enough that a bump would have sent it flying. He showed me the proper clip spot in like 10 seconds, and now my helmet actually stays put on my 6 mile ride to work. How did I never notice the strap was rubbing my neck raw every single morning? Has anyone else had a total stranger point out a basic gear flaw that changed everything for you?
