My fenders made a bigger difference than I expected

I put SKS Bluemels on my commuter last month after getting soaked every morning for two weeks straight. The difference in how dry my work pants stay is night and day, plus my chain isn't caked in grit anymore. Anybody else find that fenders changed their whole ride more than other upgrades?

Did you ever notice how much less you have to clean your bike after adding fenders? I swear my drivetrain went from needing a wipe down every week to maybe once a month. Plus my tires aren't spraying water all over the bike frame itself, so the paint's staying in better shape. It's funny how we obsess over lightweight parts or fancy groupsets but a $30 piece of plastic does more for actual ride quality than any of that stuff.

Yeah having fenders saved my back from a muddy stripe too.
