Wasted $50 on those 'waterproof' pannier bags that leaked on my first rainy commute
Soaked my laptop and a change of clothes after a 20 minute ride through light drizzle last week. Anybody found a rain cover that actually works or should I just stick with cheap dry bags inside the panniers?

$50 for panniers that can't handle light drizzle? That's rough, especially with a laptop and clothes inside. I'd be furious if my gear failed that fast on a short commute. Dry bags inside the panniers are probably your safest bet from now on.

Throw a heavy duty trash bag in each pannier next time @fisher.mason, that's what bailed me out on rainy days.
