Heard a guy at my FLGS say he sold his whole collection to 'start fresh,' and it stuck with me
Last Saturday I was at my local shop in Columbus waiting for a table to open up. This guy next to me, probably mid 30s, was boxing up his whole shelf of games, like 60 titles, and telling the owner he was done buying anything new. He said he got tired of the stack of shame and wanted just 10 games he actually plays. I have about 80 games myself and half of them have hit the table once, so that number stung a bit. Then yesterday I caught myself looking at a $70 preorder for a game I know I will not play for 8 months. The guy's point was simple, but it made me rethink what I am actually doing with this hobby and whether I am collecting or playing. Has anyone else done a big purge like that, and did you regret it later?
