Just realized my $45 "luxury" journal was a total waste compared to a $2 spiral notebook

Used to be one of those people who thought a nice leather journal would make me write more and better. Thought the ritual of opening a fancy cover mattered. Then I bought a cheap spiral notebook on a whim and filled it up in two weeks. Now I have three of them sitting on my shelf because the plain paper just works. The expensive one is still in its box on my desk. Your mileage may vary but for me, the $45 was definitely a lesson learned.

yeah @rubyreed i feel that lol i did the same thing with a $60 leather notebook and it just sits there looking pretty while i write in a $1 composition book from the grocery store. the expensive one feels like a trap where you're scared to mess it up with bad handwriting or a dumb thought.
