I spent $150 on a smart plant monitor and it's been a huge letdown

Everyone in here seems to love those gadgets that tell you when to water, but mine just gave me wrong info for months. It kept saying my fiddle leaf fig was fine, but the leaves were clearly drooping. I followed its alerts and nearly killed a plant I've had for two years. Has anyone else found these things more trouble than they're worth?

Ever try one of those smart scales that tells you your body fat? Mine said I was 12% fat while eating a whole pizza, so maybe tech just guesses sometimes. What plant did you almost lose?

Total waste of money lol. Mine told me my snake plant needed constant watering, almost drowned the poor thing.
