Dropped $180 on pre-mixed mortar bags from the big box store, all six were junk
Bags sat in the yard two weeks and turned into gravel before I got to the back wall. Anyone got a supplier near Cincinnati that actually dates their stock?

Six bags of future gravel for the low price of $180, that has to be some kind of record. Two weeks in the yard is nothing, that stuff should last months if it was fresh when you bought it, so they sold you old stock and smiled while they did it. Try a real masonry yard instead of the big box, they move product fast enough that it never gets a chance to turn.
