Just read that the mortar in the Hoover Dam is still curing, found that in a book at the library yesterday

Well, at that rate it'll be perfectly cured just in time for my great-great-grandkids to maybe try it. Honestly, my own projects have a habit of entering that same forever-curing state. You start with big plans and then it just sits in the garage, quietly judging you for years.
