Saw a crew in Pittsburgh butter their brick tongs and it blew my mind
I was walking past a job site on Butler Street in Pittsburgh last week and noticed a guy dipping his brick tongs into a little bucket of oil before every grab. He said it stops the metal from biting into the brick and cuts down on chipped corners by a lot, which I never thought about once in 9 years of laying. Does anyone else do this, or is it one of those things that only works with certain brick types?
