I ditched my weekly layout for a single daily log and it actually worked

I always did the fancy weekly spreads with color coding and washi tape. Last month I got lazy and just started one running daily log per day with no structure. My productivity actually went up because I stopped worrying about making it look perfect. Has anyone else found that simpler formats work better for actual task tracking?

Dropped my fancy planner for a blank notebook and never looked back.

Maybe it's just me but I used to be a total planner snob. Had to have the dated pages, the stickers, the whole system. Tried bullet journals too but felt trapped by all the rules. Then I grabbed a plain Moleskine and honestly it changed everything. Being able to write whenever, whatever, with no fear of messing up a layout is so freeing. I just draw a line down the middle and it's a to-do list, a diary, and random notes all in one. Feels way more natural than forcing my life into someone else's format.
