I used to jam as many words as possible on my stickers, but one bad batch changed my tune

Back in April I was all about cramming full sentences onto my bumper stickers, thinking more text meant more humor. Then I got feedback from a customer who said they couldn't read it from 10 feet away while driving. I tried one with just 3 big words and a simple image, and sales jumped 40% in two weeks. Now I focus on short punchy phrases that pop at a distance, and my designs get way more compliments. Has anyone else had luck with minimalist layouts over wordy ones?

My own stickers had like 50 words each until a buddy told me to squint and try reading one from across the street.

My first attempt at a sticker was basically a whole paragraph explaining the joke setup, then the punchline, then a third sentence apologizing for how long the first two were. My buddy saw me printing it out and asked if I was writing a ransom note or making a sticker. Guess which one he said it looked more like.
