Told my boss a $30 paper log was a waste, then watched it save us a $4,200 shipment
When our warehouse crew started tracking pallet counts on a paper sheet taped to the wall, I honestly thought it was busywork and told my boss we were wasting 10 minutes a shift. Then we caught a mislabeled load going to a customer in Plano before it ever left the dock, which would have cost us around $4,200 in returns and re-shipping. Has anyone else had a cheap low-tech fix beat the software they were paying for?
