Had to redo our whole job intake flow after two big clients ghosted us
We used to just take jobs over the phone and email, but last year we lost maybe $12k when two clients went quiet after we'd already ordered parts and blocked off the crew. I switched us to a standardized written scope with a deposit requirement and a 48 hour review window, and now we get everyone to sign off before we even book the date. Has anyone else found that adding a formal step like that actually filters out the tire kickers, or did it just add friction to your good customers too?
