Overheard a customer ask for 'milk steak' and the whole shop lost it
A guy came in Tuesday asking if we could cut him a thick ribeye and then sous vide it in milk with jelly beans. He was dead serious. My coworker Dave just stood there holding a cleaver with this blank stare. We get weird requests sometimes, but that one took the cake. Made me think about how much customers actually know about what we do back here. Like the lady last month who asked me to 'trim the fat but leave all the flavor.' What does that even mean? Has anyone else gotten a request so off the wall you just had to laugh? What's the strangest thing a customer has asked you to do to their meat?
