inPSA: heard a ramp guy in Denver say our connector pins fail more from ramp humidity than vibration
That line about ramp humidity versus vibration really hits home. We had a King Air that sat outside in Houston for two weeks and the Canon plug pins looked like they'd been in salt water, green fuzz everywhere, while the solder joints were fine. The planes that live in hangars barely show anything. So yeah, that ramp guy might be onto something. Moisture just sits in those connectors overnight and does its thing slow and steady.

inPSA: My wife bet me $50 I couldn't build a coffee table from one pallet, and last Tuesday in our garage I finally proved her wrong
Three weekends for one pallet table is wild, my wife would've doubled the bet by week two.

inThe $4 thrift store candlesticks that made my rental kitchen look like a magazine spread
Wait till the ketchup smell fades and you realize they're just tarnished again in a week. I did the whole vinegar and baking soda thing on some brass once and honestly the room looked exactly the same, just with shinier junk on the counter. Rental kitchens need more counter space, not more stuff to dust around the coffee maker. If two $2 candlesticks make the place feel like a magazine spread, that magazine is probably called "Cramped Apartment Living".
