Vent: My truck odometer hit 200,000 miles right after a job in the rain
I was driving back from a house call in Everett, finished up a coax run in a crawlspace. Pulled into my driveway and saw the numbers flip to 200,000. This truck has been through every muddy site and tight attic with me for eight years. Kind of a weird thing to notice, but it felt like a big deal. Anyone else have a vehicle that's basically a work partner?

Remember my buddy's old van that finally died. It quit right in a client's driveway after he unloaded the last tile for a patio job. Felt like it waited for him to finish.

Yeah, that number hitting right after a tough job is the truck's way of checking in. It's not just miles, it's every time you loaded it up with wet gear or banged a ladder against the bumper. That thing knows your work day better than anyone.

It's like how a good pair of boots gets more comfortable the more you wear them. Tools and machines pick up the story of the work you do.
