Walked into a new subdivision yesterday and every house had the same cable drop mistake
Every single box was mounted sideways so the coax comes out the side instead of the bottom. How are builders still getting away with this sloppy work on new construction?

Gotta wonder if this is some kind of lazy contractor trick to hide bad measurements or something. I mean, if you mount the box sideways you can run the cable out the side and fake a straight line to the ground, but it's all wrong. Nobody checks the bottom drop because it's hidden behind the box, so they just get away with it. Builders are cutting corners everywhere these days, and this is just another one of those "good enough" moves that drives me nuts.
