Pro tip: label your cables before moving, trust me
Honestly, I moved into a new apartment in Austin last week and finally unpacked my desk setup. The rats nest behind my monitor took 3 hours to sort because every black cable felt identical. Now I'm using those tiny colored zip ties from the dollar store, and it's made reconnecting stuff so much easier. Has anyone else dealt with a cable tangle after a big move?

Every black cable felt identical" hit way too close to home. I did the exact same thing last move and ended up labeling everything with masking tape and a sharpie after spending a whole evening unplugging the wrong stuff. The colored zip ties are smart though, I might steal that idea. Honestly, the worst part is when you think you've got it figured out and then realize the ethernet cable goes to the wrong router port. Moving is already chaos, no need to add a puzzle to it.
