Saw a tip about using binder clips for cable labels and it actually works
I was reading some random DIY blog last Thursday and someone mentioned clipping small paper labels onto cords with binder clips instead of those plastic tag things. Tried it on the mess behind my TV stand and now I can actually tell which cord goes to the soundbar without tracing each one with my finger. Has anyone else found a weird everyday item that helped clean up their cable chaos?

Yeah that binder clip trick works way better than I thought it would. I actually started using them to hold the loose cables themselves against the back of my desk too, just clipping them in place so they don't droop down behind everything. Saved me from having to buy those adhesive cable clips that always fall off after a week. The paper label thing is genius though, I've been using colored stickers but they fade after a few months.

The paper label is a game changer because you can also slip a tiny label inside the binder clip itself, so it's double-protected from falling off. I've been doing that for my surge protector block, and it's held up way better than those sticker labels did.
