Woke up at 2am last Tuesday to a burning plastic smell from the outlet behind my TV stand
Pulled the stand out and found a power strip buried under a rat king of extension cords and a lamp cord wedged against the hot plug, so I killed the breaker and zip tied every run to the leg with a $6 pack of velcro straps, and now I want to know if anyone else has found actual heat damage back there or if I was just lucky to catch it.
