Went back and forth between a foam pad and an inflatable sleeping pad for 3 nights in Shenandoah
I spent way too long debating whether to bring my closed-cell foam pad or my Klymit inflatable on a trip last month. Ended up taking the inflatable because it packs smaller, but the second night I woke up on the ground with a slow leak. Had to patch it with duct tape, and the foam pad would've been more reliable even if it's bulkier. Anyone else given up on inflatables for multi-day trips?

Laughing at the duct tape patch job because I've been there too. Honestly, inflatables are great until they're not, and then you're just sleeping on a noisy taco shell. Foam pads may be bulky, but at least they don't betray you in the middle of the night.

You ever notice how everything in life kinda has that same "great until it's not" moment? @faithg26 nailed it with the taco shell thing. It's like relationships or jobs too. They seem perfect until that one bad night. Inflatables are just the camping version of that whole pattern.
