Bought a $60 corrugated cutter and my old box knife wins every time
Last fall I picked up one of those fancy rotary cutters from a craft store, thinking it would make cleaner cuts on the double wall stuff I use for shelves. Paid about $60 after tax, and honestly it struggled with any box thicker than a cereal carton. The blade kept catching on the fluting and left ragged edges, so I went back to my trusty $4 utility knife with fresh blades. In my experience, the simple tools hold up better for cardboard, and I wish I'd tried a friend's cutter before dropping that cash. Anyone else regret buying specialty gear for this hobby?

Sixty bucks for a cardboard cutter and it choked on double wall? Man, that stings. I tried one of those rotary deals once, borrowed from a buddy, and it felt like a toy next to my old Stanley knife. The fluting catches every time, and you end up fighting the tool instead of cutting the box. Glad you went back to the cheap route, fresh blades beat fancy hardware any day.
