Had to pick between corrugated and single wall for my fort frame

I'm building a castle tower in my basement for my kids and I couldn't decide on the cardboard type. I went with double wall corrugated from a fridge box because it felt sturdier but now my utility knife is dull after just 4 cuts. The walls hold up great though even when my 6 year old leans on them. Has anyone else run into trouble cutting through the thick stuff or is a fresh blade the only way?

My last utility knife went from sharp to useless in about 3 cuts on that thick double wall stuff. I ended up switching to a heavy duty box cutter with the snap-off blades and it made a huge difference. Just a heads up though, you'll burn through blades like crazy but at least the fort won't collapse on the kids.

Also keep in mind those snap off blades are thinner than regular utility blades. They flex more on thick material and can snap in the middle of a cut if you put too much side pressure on them. I found out the hard way when one broke and flew right past my face.
