Heard a kid call a box fort a 'cardboard structure' and it hit different
Was at the recycling center in Toledo last Saturday dropping off flattened boxes, and this dad was telling his son to be careful with his "cardboard structure." My nephew and I used to call ours a base or a hideout, and we spent whole afternoons with packing tape and a single box cutter. It made me think about how the hobby got more serious over the years, lots of plans and measurements now. Anybody else notice the language shift from play to engineering, or am I just getting old?

Man, that hit me right in the feels. I remember naming my box forts stuff like "Fort Kickass" and we never measured a single thing, just taped whatever fit. You think it's because parents today are trying to make everything educational, or did the internet turn a simple afternoon into a design project? Were you and your nephew more about the hiding spots or the epic battles?
