That time a kid taught me how to make a cardboard castle keep the roof on

I was at my cousin's place last Saturday building a castle for her 5 year old. Spent like 2 hours on it, taping joints, cutting windows, the whole deal. Soon as I set the roof piece on top, it slid right off and hit the floor. The kid just looked at me, grabbed one of those plastic cable ties from a bin, and poked it through both flaps to lock them. Worked perfectly and I felt like a dummy for not thinking of it myself. Anyone else had a kid show them something painfully obvious?

Isn't it funny how kids see the simple fix we adults overthink?

Kids just cut through the BS we overcomplicate.
