TIL the $1,400 I put into a medical billing cert course did nothing for me
Wish someone had warned me back in 2019 before I signed up for that online program through a school in Tampa. I finished the whole thing in 7 months, got the paper, and every single front desk job I applied to still wanted 2 years of experience. My cousin got hired at a clinic in Orlando with no cert at all, just because she knew the office manager. Has anyone here broken into medical admin without getting burned on a course like this?

Tampa in 2019, I used to say certs were worth it, now I'm not so sure.
