Found out glue down carpet can shrink up to 3% in humidity
Was reading an old industry bulletin from 2019 and it said moisture can make glue down carpet pull back from the walls. I always thought that only happened with stretch-in installations. Anyone else run into this or am I just lucky so far?

Whoa, I totally thought that was just a stretch-in problem too.

You said "stretch-in problem" and yeah that's exactly what I thought too at first. But man after digging into it the whole thing is way more broken than just some simple fix. The stretching issue is just the tip of the iceberg honestly. There's underlying stuff with the design that makes it really hard to properly repair. So yeah it's a much bigger mess than most people realize.
