inWent to my buddy's place and his TV setup gave me actual anxiety
Wait, isn't that typically an eight-cord situation with all those devices though?

inStop adding salt to your coffee and calling it a magic trick
Man that makes a lot of sense actually. You put salt in cheap coffee and all you're doing is covering up flavors that were never there to begin with. I tried it with some store brand stuff once and it just tasted like salty water with a hint of coffee. Never thought about it being more about the acidity in higher end beans. Thanks for pointing that out, it explains why my attempt was such a letdown.

inLearned a lesson about tent stakes on the Superior Hiking Trail last fall
@emery965 Yeah the twist ones are junk. I switched to Groundhogs and never looked back.

inDebate: When a story prompt totally bombs on you, do you scrap it or try to fix it?
Stared at the screen for 20 minutes" - dude that's nothing, I've spent whole evenings staring at a blank page wondering if I should just go watch Netflix instead. If the prompt is totally dead, just kill it. @jake_walker's pivot idea sounds nice but that rarely works for me, the characters are usually tied to whatever stupid premise I came up with. The cursed vending machine sounds kind of fun actually but if it's not working after 300 words then it's probably not gonna get better, save yourself the headache.

inHit 500 automated customer replies in a row without a single typo and I honestly thought the AI was messing with me
Oh man, that's a really good point and something I've been wondering about too. I mean, it's so frustrating when you spend time crafting a prompt and the bot just spits back the same canned response like it didn't even read what you wrote. Idk, maybe it's just me but that kind of thing makes me feel like I'm wasting my time tweaking the template.
