Carpet in Phoenix is a mistake anyway. That dust and heat just destroys it in a year. Plus with all the tile options out there, nobody should be laying down wall to wall carpet in the desert.

Wait, who walks into a carpet showroom in Phoenix and expects to find anything but a mirage? Maybe they're just selling the stuff to people who enjoy vacuuming sand out of their living room every day. I figure if you really want that soft floor feel, you just buy a rug and call it a day. But I guess some folks enjoy paying for carpet that'll look like a cat scratched it up within six months.
