Saw something strange at a rest stop charger in Ohio
I stopped at a rest area off I-70 near Columbus last weekend to top up and noticed about 8 cars parked at the chargers that weren't even plugged in. Just taking up the spots while they napped or ate snacks. One guy told me he had an app that said the charger was free so he parked there anyway. Has anyone else run into ICE drivers or clueless folks blocking spots like that?

The "app said it was free so I parked there" guy is EXACTLY the kind of person who makes me want to carry chalk. I've started keeping a few "blocking a charger" notes in my glovebox, just tuck them under their wiper. Saves me a headache.

Drop a note right on the steering wheel too, @olivia_webb, that way they REALLY can't miss it. I swear, some people see the word "free" and their brains just TURN OFF like a light switch. Maybe we need to start a support group for people who have to deal with this nonsense on a daily basis.

Your note approach only makes people defensive and doubles down on their ignorance. A parking app said it was free, so they legally parked there without any malicious intent. Instead of leaving passive aggressive paper, why not just talk to them face to face and explain why chargers matter?
