Grocery outlet hack: day-old bread aisle is a goldmine
Heard a lady at the checkout last Tuesday say she feeds her family of four on $50 a week using the day-old rack. I checked it out at the Grocery Outlet on 5th and Main. Got a full loaf for 99 cents, still soft. Anyone else raid that section before the store closes?
Checked it out last night after seeing this. Grabbed a sourdough loaf for 89 cents and it was still chewy. The staff told me they restock around 8pm, so that's the move. Honestly, bread freezes fine so I just stock up when the rack is full.
