I compared Aldi vs. Walmart for a month and the winner was clear

Everyone raves about Aldi for cheap groceries but I spent $30 less at Walmart for the same list of basics. Their store brand pasta is $0.68 a box vs Aldi's $0.95 and it tastes the same to me. Anyone else find Walmart better for staple items?

Read this morning that Aldi's whole model is just rotating stuff super fast for freshness, but for dry goods like pasta or rice Walmart wins on price every time. Did you notice if the produce held up any different between them?

Three days after my Aldi run the lettuce looked like it was trying to become compost in the bag, I'm not kidding. The Walmart bag of the same brand lettuce sat in the exact same crisper drawer for a solid week before showing any sad leaves. Funny enough though, the Aldi carrots were still crunchy after two weeks while Walmart's got floppy way faster. Guess it really depends on which produce truck had a smoother ride that week. Take the gamble and hope your local Aldi gets their deliveries on a good day, I guess.
