Lunch truck loyalty vs. grocery store deli, after a $14 sandwich in Denver
Last Tuesday I grabbed lunch from the new taco truck parked by the old Safeway on Colfax. Paid $9 for two tacos that were good but gone in five minutes. Then I realized the deli inside the store sells a full rotisserie chicken and two sides for $8.50, which feeds me twice. Now I'm split between supporting local trucks with small portions or stretching my money further at the grocery. Does anyone else factor in how many meals you get, or is it all about the taste for you?
