That food truck in Tucson charged full price for half the portion
Hit up the taco truck on 4th Ave near the university last Saturday. Paid $13 for a burrito that looked like it was rolled by someone in a hurry, maybe half the size of the ones they served two months ago. I counted the bites, it was gone in four. Then I saw the same thing happen to the guy ahead of me, he asked if they shrank the menu and the worker just shrugged. I get that costs are up, but quietly cutting portions without changing the price feels like a rip-off. Are other folks seeing this at their usual spots, or is it just this truck? I'd rather pay $15 and get the old size than feel cheated at $13.

Those tortillas cost half of what they did a year ago and beef is up maybe 30%, so a smaller burrito at the same price is an easy way to stay afloat. I checked the truck's social media and they posted a menu update last month with a note about portion changes, so it's not exactly a secret. I'd rather have a slightly smaller burrito than watch another local spot close down.
