That one Tuesday where every lunch spot came through for under $8
Last Tuesday I hit a taco truck near the bus depot in Portland and got two massive carnitas tacos for $5.50, then the grocery store next door had day-old bakery bags at half price, so I snagged a loaf and some muffins for $2. The whole day felt like a fluke, but it made me wonder if certain weekdays are just better for bargains in your town too?

Wait, are we really turning a good lunch into a market research project? I mean, sure, you got lucky with the taco truck and the bakery bag, but that sounds like a happy accident, not a Tuesday thing. I've had Tuesdays where I paid full price for a sad sandwich and then dropped my change in a puddle, so the weekday itself didn't exactly guarantee anything. Maybe the real trick is just being near that specific taco truck, and the day of the week is just noise. I wouldn't plan my whole budget around it, that's for sure.
