Vent: I chose the wrong gas station sushi and paid for it hard

Last night I had to pick between the 7-Eleven on Broadway and the Shell station over by the train tracks. Both had those little plastic sushi trays for like $4.50. I went with the Shell because I thought hey, fresher maybe. Big mistake. Woke up at 3am with my stomach doing backflips and now I'm calling off work today. Lost $4.50 plus whatever I'll lose in tips at the shop. Has anyone else gambled on gas station sushi and regretted it?

@finley_flores28 called it, turnover is the only thing saving those 7-Eleven trays.

Used to be the guy who thought all gas station sushi was a death wish, but this actually changed my mind. Figured any place with a cooler could handle raw fish, but nope, the Shell station proved me wrong real fast. Lost a whole day of pay and spent it hugging the toilet, definitely not worth that $4.50 gamble. That 3am wake up call with your stomach doing flips is the worst feeling in the world. Now I just stick with the 7-Eleven because at least the turnover is higher on those trays. Lesson learned the hard way, hope you feel better soon.
