Dropped $180 on a parking spot near Wrigley and it saved my whole night

So last month I went to a Cubs game with my brother and we drove in from the burbs like idiots. Got near Wrigleyville around 5pm and every lot on Clark was asking $60, $80, even $100 for a spot. We circled for like 20 minutes watching people fight over street parking until I finally said screw it and paid $180 for a reserved spot in a garage off Addison. My brother thought I lost my mind. But here is the thing, we walked right to the gate with zero stress, and when the game went into extra innings we just strolled back at 11pm while like 40 cars were still crawling around looking for anything. I did the math after and between the gas we burned circling, the two beers I would have needed to calm down, and the hour of my life I got back, that $180 felt cheap. The spot was maybe a 7 minute walk from the marquee. Has anyone else just given up and paid the crazy price for game day parking, or do you all have some secret lot I don't know about?

Remember the days when $40 felt steep for Wrigley parking? I did the same thing last year for a concert at the Metro and honestly the $150 felt like a bargain once I saw everyone else stuck on Sheffield at midnight. You're paying for your sanity, not just the spot.
