Found out my property taxes went up 23% this year from a random city website

I was just looking up my neighbor's house on the Cook County Assessor site to see what they were paying compared to me. That's when I noticed my own assessment jumped way more than I expected. Turns out my home value estimate went up by like 60 grand since last year even though I haven't done any major work to it. I had no idea the reassessment happened so quietly in the background. Has anyone else caught a big hike like this without any notice in the mail?

Heard a story on the local news about counties doing these quiet reassessments to make up for budget shortfalls... seems like a lot of people are getting hit without warning.
