Am I the only one who hit 1,000 sweeps and felt weird about it?
Finished sweep number 1,000 on a little brick ranch off Route 20 in Hampshire last month, and I just sat in the truck for a minute after writing the invoice. When I started back in 2009 with a poly brush and a shop vac, I figured I'd quit inside a year, and counting jobs wasn't even a thing we did. What got me is the log book, because my ballpoint notes from the early jobs are short and plain while the newer pages have soot patterns and draft readings my younger self never would have thought to check. It's not a brag, it's just odd looking at how a job turns into a habit. How many sweeps did you all put in before you stopped counting, or do you still keep a log?
