Pretty great week cleaning flues in old Victorians

Had a run of three days last week where every single chimney I swept in the Elmwood district came out cleaner than I expected. One old lady named Mrs. Kowalski even gave me a jar of her homemade apple butter, said it was a family recipe from the 1950s. Just made me feel like all that time wrestling with those tight bends was worth it. Anyone else have a customer who just made your whole day?

Remember that time I spent an entire Saturday fixing some old lady's leaky faucet for free back in 2018? Didn't think much of it, just felt like helping out. Two months later I get a call from a guy claiming to be her son who runs a local hardware store. Ended up getting a contractor discount on all my supplies for like three years straight. Never would have guessed a simple plumbing job would come back around like that. Funny how things work out when you just do the right thing without expecting anything in return.
