Bought a cheap coolant filter and it cost me a spindle

Spent about $80 on a no-name coolant filter unit from an online auction last month to save some cash. It clogged up in two days and the pump overheated, starving my spindle during a long run on some 316 stainless. The repair bill was over $2k. Do NOT skip on proper filtration. Has anyone found a good mid-range filter that actually holds up?

Switched to a Reelcraft setup after a similar mess, it's been running clean for over a year now.

My shop runs a Hiflofiltro unit that's been solid for three years now. They're not the cheapest but they definitely save you from those nasty surprise bills.

Yeah, but what about the upfront cost?
