My first loop ran 1,000 times and printed nothing, and a guy at the Denver library showed me why
I typed my print line inside the loop but AFTER the variable that kept resetting it, so it never showed up, and he moved one indented line up and it worked, now I always check what's inside the loop before I blame Python, anyone else get wrecked by indentation their first week?
Wait, are you sure indentation was the real problem there? What you're describing sounds more like a scope issue, where the print was using a variable that got reset inside the loop, so moving it up just changed the order things ran. I've seen new folks blame indentation when really their logic was just out of order, and that's a way harder habit to unlearn than a tab vs space thing.
