Rant: I spent 3 years using a blade grinder for espresso
Had a buddy over last week pull a shot with my fancy beans and it came out muddy and sour. He told me my $40 grinder was the problem, not the machine... now I'm looking at hand grinders, anyone else get called out like that and feel stupid?

Ha, yeah that stings but it's honestly a wake-up call a lot of us get. In my experience, it's kind of like anything else where you hit a ceiling and the cheap tool just can't keep up, your mileage may vary but a decent hand grinder makes a huge difference for the money.
