Barista at the place on 5th said the outlet by the window is dead, she was right

I plugged in there anyway last Tuesday and my laptop went from 60% to 12% in an hour without charging once, the whole outlet is just loose. Now I always ask before I grab a table near the front, saves me from packing up mid-call. Has anyone found a good way to test an outlet without looking weird?
