Hit issue #1000 in my run last night, but it was a reprint I already owned
I keep a full run of Amazing Spider-Man since the 90s. When I filed the new books last night I realized I was at issue #1000 total counting variants and annuals. Thought it would feel huge, some big milestone moment. Instead it was the second copy of #363 I grabbed at a flea market for $3. I guess I figured the number would make me feel like a real collector or something. It just made me notice how much of my collection is filler I bought out of habit. Does hitting a number like 500 or 1000 actually mean anything to you guys, or is it just about the stories you actually reread?
