My comic shop owner pointed out that my old bagging technique was bending the spines

I've been bagging my comics the same way for about 5 years, sliding them in spine first, but last week the shop owner showed me how that actually bends the cover over time. He said to slide them in spine side down and let the bag do the work instead. Anybody else ever get a surprising tip from their local shop that changed how you store your stuff?

Funny enough I had the opposite problem, my shop guy told me to stop storing them spine down because the weight of the stack presses the spine into the bottom of the bag and causes creases over time. Now I do a little tilt with the bag so the comic sits at a slight angle and it's been working way better for my long boxes. Could be worth trying a middle ground approach if you're worried about either issue.
