Went to a con last Saturday and saw three people in homemade suits that looked better than the movie versions

One guy had a Batman suit made from leather scraps and upholstery foam that honestly put the Dark Knight armor to shame. Has anyone else noticed cosplayers outdoing Hollywood on a shoestring budget?

I saw a guy at a con once who had built a full Iron Man suit out of foam floor mats and spray paint, and it honestly looked more screen-accurate than some of the early MCU suits. The thing is, movie studios have all this money and fancy tech but sometimes they go too over-the-top with the design, making it look clunky or unrealistic. Cosplayers just focus on what actually looks good and feels right, since they're the ones wearing it for hours in a stuffy convention hall.
