Had a 3-day fight with a check valve in Austin, is this normal?
Ran a job last week near the UT campus, 6 inch backflow assembly that kept hammering at night. Swapped the check valve twice, still sounded like someone dropping a bowling ball at 2 AM. Turns out the pressure reducing valve upstream was set at 120 psi instead of 60, took a master plumber from San Antonio to spot it in 10 minutes. Am I the only one who spends 3 days on a simple fix when the actual problem sits in a different spot on the line?
