Trenchless pipe lining seemed like a gimmick to me until I saw it in action
I've been doing commercial plumbing for about 12 years and always figured trenchless was just a fancy upsell that wouldn't hold up. Then a client in Austin had a 40 year old cast iron line under their restaurant slab that was totally shot. The contractor we subbed to got it done in one day with no demo, and the camera inspection after 6 months looked better than the original pipe ever did. Has anyone else here actually switched over to trenchless for commercial jobs, or are you still diggin?

Oh man, that's exactly the kind of thing that made me a believer too. I had a similar job a few years back under a busy parking lot for a strip mall, and digging would have meant shutting down three businesses for a week. We went with the trenchless lining, and honestly the hardest part was just getting the cleanout setup right beforehand. The crew I work with now swears by it for those tight spots where you'd otherwise be breaking concrete and dealing with angry property owners. Just make sure whoever you sub to uses a good quality epoxy that cures evenly, because I've seen some hack jobs that left thin spots and failed within a year.

@s @wren806 ive read the epoxy quality is a real make-or-break for those linings, bad batches mess it up quick.
