Cleaned my 1000th laptop fan this morning and it hit me
I was working on a Dell Latitude from 2018, the usual dust bunny nest. When I logged it, the service counter ticked over to an even thousand. Never thought I'd see that number from just one small part of the job. How many fans do you figure you've cleaned in your time?

Ever notice how we give cute names to things we don't want to deal with? Dust bunnies, junk drawers, mystery leftovers in the fridge. It's like if we make it sound harmless, we can ignore it a little longer. My garage has a "collection" of empty boxes I'll "use someday." Naming the mess just lets it stay.

My old apartment had a closet full of "maybe" clothes. Took me three weekends to sort it. The trick is to stop naming it and start timing it. Set a timer for 20 minutes and just pull everything out. You'll either find a real use for those boxes in that time or you'll see it's just trash with a cute name.
